Greppicante is our answer to those who want a glimpse into the I Greppi Estate. A dip into our iconic lakes and sizeable splash from this readily drinkable Bordeaux blend. The 2019 vintage was characterized by late rains breaking a long dry summer. A second wind for our vines, the harvest window spanned from the beginning of September through late October. The 10°C diurnal fluctuations retained acidity, while light reflected from our lakes and the Tyrrhenian Sea amplified color and tannin maturity. After 12 months in 2nd and 3rd passage oak, Greppicante 2019 assumes a firm stance demonstrating aromatic complexity and a refined finish. Minimum processing throughout the winemaking process lends generous concentration to the pure fruit flavors. Minimum effective sulfur and bottle aging for 6 weeks prior to release.
