An experiment that readily embraces the next variable. 2021 Vior is the third generation in a long forthcoming lineage. In its first year, Vior showed great promise as a stand-apart white combining both traditional and new-world techniques. 2021 continues that trajectory with a 13-day skin maceration and élevage in vapor bent oak barrels distinctly crafted for white wines. Fermenting on the skins lends a noble tannin to fill the body of the wine. Barrel aging and frequent bâtonnage add aromatic harmony and textural richness to the qualities inherent to Viognier. The result is a wine of golden hue, aromatically expressive, and delightfully complex in its youth. It is a wine intended to enjoy for years to come.
