Our Team
I Greppi is an improbable collaboration between people from very different backgrounds. We are owned by two Irish wine lovers, have a Californian-taught Winemaker, a Welsh Estate manager, and a Bolgheri born-and-bred sales and marketing director. We are unhindered by history or tradition, but we hold a shared vision of harnessing cutting-edge science to produce the best wines possible from our unique terroir, right in the middle of Bolgheri and just a stone's throw from the Mediterranean.
Dale Heatley
Dale Heatley is I Greppi’s Estate Manager. Dale migrated from Wales to Italy to play rugby twenty years ago, and today shares his love and knowledge of Tuscany. Dale initially worked in Chianti and jumped at the opportunity to join I Greppi and return to the Tuscan coast in 2017.
Dale is at the heart of I Greppi’s vision, including our unique partnership with University of California Davis Sacramento. He works closely with our scholarships for the winemakers of the future, and I Greppi’s work incorporating traditional Italian winemaking with modern, ground-breaking American science.
Morgan McCrum
Morgan McCrum began his career as winemaker in Napa Valley, California over a decade ago.
Upon earning his degree at the University of California, Davis, he received working knowledge in renowned Napa Valley and St. Helena wineries where he grew his passion and understanding of how a wine can be an expression of a unique place, through careful techniques in the vineyard and cellar.
After 10 years working in the Napa Valley wine industry, he decided to pursue an opportunity to work for an Italian winery close to his wife's hometown in southern Italy's Basilicata region.

Marco Filippeschi
Marco Filippeschi is I Greppi’s Marketing & Purchasing Manager. Marco is also our resident photographer and our Cecina local, growing up nearby. This makes him the perfect guardian of local insight as we incorporate traditional Italian winemaking with modern, ground-breaking American science. Marco is the man who makes sure the wine you order arrives. And that we capture life on the estate in on Instagram.
